8½” x 12”. A signed Will Bradley letterpress Art Nouveau poster in blue, brown and black of a costumed woman holding a mask with a costumed man in the rear. Statement in text on the lower margin of Ault & Wiborg colors used in the poster: Two-Color Combination. Blue, $3.00 = 442=61. and Brown, $2.00 = 442=62.; advertising text and design for the Ault & Wiborg Company in red on verso. The Ault & Wiborg Company produced and distributed inks and lithograph supplies, and in 1890 began an advertising campaign that used letterpressed poster inserts printed with the very ink colors that the poster was advertising. These poster inserts ran in The Inland Printer and other trade journals such as The Printer and Bookmaker as well as The American Bookmaker. Will Bradley created a series of more than 20 posters for The Ault and Wiborg Company between 1895 and 1900 that were considered some of his finest design work.
