Contemporary calf with red morocco spine label; the smooth spine gilt ruled into 6 panels. Originally published in Boston in 1677, under the title: A Narrative of the Troubles with the Indians in New-England ...To which is added a discourse about the Warre with the Pequods in the year 1637. The present volume is a print of Boyle's abridged edition of the former, in Boston, 1775. Howes called the 1675 edition "A corner-stone authority on the subject."
